Species you can play on our server
The server has recorded 22 species being played: 11 carnivores, 9 herbivores and 2 omnivores. The list comes from our own server data, not from an official list of the game; the diet groups and the short notes follow theisle.info and can change with patches. New species can arrive with future patches, and we update this page to match what the server really has.
At busy times the team may cap how many players can play one species. While a species is full it disappears from the dino picker for a while and comes back when there is room.
Carnivores (hunters)
They hunt or scavenge for meat, alone or in a pack, and even a hunter has to watch out for bigger predators while it is small.
Tyrannosaurus
Players say: T-Rex, Rex
The headline apex hunter: slower than the other big carnivores, but a bite that lands can end the fight.
Allosaurus
Players say: Allo
A big, versatile hunter with a strong bleeding bite and quick healing.
Carnotaurus
Players say: Carno
A big, very fast hunter that charges in and rams its prey down.
Ceratosaurus
Players say: Cerato
A big, aggressive bully with an infecting bite and a tough stomach.
Dilophosaurus
Players say: Dilo
A mid-sized night hunter with the best night vision in the game.
Deinosuchus
Players say: Deino
It rules rivers, swamps and shorelines from under the water, so take care when you drink.
A crocodile relative, not a dinosaur
Herrerasaurus
Players say: Herrera
A small, fast mid-sized hunter that climbs trees and pounces from above.
Omniraptor
Players say: Omni
An agile small hunter that pounces and holds on, deadly in a coordinated pack.
Austroraptor
A tall mid-sized raptor that sneaks up on prey and catches fish, but is weak in a straight fight.
Troodon
Players say: Troo
A tiny pack hunter with a venomous pounce.
Pteranodon
Players say: Ptera
The only flyer on the list: it eats fish and carrion, and grows fast but is fragile.
A flying reptile, not a dinosaur
Herbivores
They eat plants, which are easier to find than prey, and many live in herds for safety from predators.
Triceratops
Players say: Trike
A big, iconic horned tank that holds its own one on one.
Stegosaurus
Players say: Stego
A big herbivore whose spiked tail hits very hard.
Diabloceratops
Players say: Diablo
A big horned herbivore, quicker and scrappier than Triceratops: it runs when it can and fights when it must.
Kentrosaurus
A mid-sized spiky cousin of Stegosaurus that punishes careless hunters with its tail.
Tenontosaurus
Players say: Teno
A mid-sized herbivore that fights back with bites, claws, kicks and tail slams.
Maiasaura
Players say: Maia
A mid-sized herd animal that outruns most threats and beats small hunters as a group.
Pachycephalosaurus
Players say: Pachy
A mid-sized herbivore whose bone-dome ram can break bones.
Hypsilophodon
Players say: Hypsi
A tiny feathered herbivore that sprays stomach bile at pursuers and climbs and glides through the jungle.
Dryosaurus
Players say: Dryo
A small, fast dodger that rarely survives being caught.
Omnivores
They eat both plants and meat, so they have more ways to find food, but big hunters can still make a meal of them.
Gallimimus
Players say: Galli
A very fast flock runner that survives on speed and stamina.
Beipiaosaurus
Players say: Beipi
Agile in the water, and scrappy on land with big slashing claws.
Which one should I pick?
- New to the game: a small or medium herbivore lets you learn the map, the water and how to avoid predators before you have to hunt.
- Playing with friends: agree on your species first, then meet up through the chat and the map in the app.
- Curious what is popular: the rankings in the app include statistics for every species.

Prime Elder, mutations and dino colours
The My dinos page in the app shows all 10 Prime Elder conditions and the mutation slots of the dino you are playing. The shop in the app has dino colours, mystery boxes and storage slots, paid with coins shared by both servers; colours and mystery boxes can also be sent to friends as gifts.
